Digital Citizenship - Forsyth County Schools

Raising kids in this digital age can be a challenge. At Liberty Middle School, we prioritize your child’s safety and well-being online, and we are committed to equipping them with the knowledge and skills to become responsible digital citizens. That’s why Forsyth County Schools has partnered with Neptune Navigate, a comprehensive program designed to teach students how to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly.

Throughout the year, students will engage with Neptune Navigate lessons. The curriculum covers essential topics, including:

  • Digital Citizenship

  • Cyberbullying

  • Digital Footprint

  • Social Media

  • Media Literacy

  • Privacy and Cyber Awareness

  • Tech Laws

We also want to extend this learning to your home. Neptune Navigate offers a valuable resource for parents called “Continue the Conversation”. This includes short videos summarizing the key points from each student lesson, allowing you to engage in meaningful discussions with your child about these important topics.

You can access the “Continue the Conversation” resource here: Neptune Navigate Parent Resource.

We are committed to helping your child develop the knowledge and skills to be safe, smart, and respectful digital citizens. Thank you for partnering with us in this important effort!
